- Confirmed customer's complaint. The inspection revealed that a fly had landed in the measuring probe for the air mass sensor. This interrupted the measuring of the air flow through the sensor which caused the symptom reported by the customer. The air mass sensor was cleaned this visit and this restored the proper operation of the engine – NOTE: This occurred because the engine air filter housing is slightly warped possibly from not having been assembled correctly in the past. A gap in the housing is how the fly was able to get past the air filter.
