    • Access on board computer to check for codes. In the engine control unit found fault codes P 0125 = Insufficient coolant temperature for closed loop operation. This is a current fault and indicates that the engine is operating at too cool of a temperature – likely a failure of the engine thermostat. A fault code found in the vehicle history is P 1605 = Rough idle and a fault code found in the permanent file is P 2714 = Pressure control solenoid "D"; performance issue or stuck off. Also in the antilock brake system are current faults C 1201 = Engine EV control system malfunction and C 1241 = Low or high power supply voltage. At this time, it is suggested only to clear these faults and see if they return in the future. The inspection revealed that the "valley plate" of the engine (located under the engine intake manifold) is leaking coolant which is common for this particular engine. Disassembly of the top of the engine is required to correct this. Also, someone has "double clamped" the top radiator hose where the hose attaches to the radiator. This may have been done in an attempt to stop coolant seepage. It is not uncommon for coolant to seep out of the reinforcement cords of the hoses on this make of vehicle – if this was the case and the seepage continues, replacement of the upper and lower radiator hoses is suggested. UPDATE: After the repair which included replacement of the upper and lower hoses, it was noticed that a small trail of engine coolant still seeps from under the upper hose. It is likely that the fitting on the radiator (for the upper hose) is cracked and allowing the coolant to seep. Replacement of the radiator is required to correct
    • This repair included replacement of the upper and lower hoses for the vehicle radiator – NOTE: Upon arrival, 2 clamps were found on the upper hose where the hose attaches to the radiator. Initially, it was unsure why the hose had been double clamped. After the reassembly with the new components, it was noticed that a small trail of engine coolant weeps from under the upper hose. It is likely that the fitting on the radiator (for the upper hose) is cracked and allowing the coolant to seep. Replacement of the radiator is required to correct
