    • Access on board computer to check for codes. In the engine control unit found fault codes P 261C 00 [175] = Coolant pump 2 – short to ground, P 068A 00 [104] = ECM power relay load circuit – opens too early, U 140A 00 [032] = Terminal 30 – open circuit, P 0461 00 [096] = Fuel level sensor circuit – Implausible signal and P 150A 00 [096] = Engine off timer performance – intermittent and not confirmed. With the exception of the fault code for the coolant pump, the other codes may have been the result of the low voltage events. The codes will be cleared this visit and replacement of the auxiliary coolant pump is suggested
    • Checked vehicle starting and charging systems, condition of vehicle battery and checked for amount of parasitic draw. Starter draw, alternator charge rate and parasitic draw all check within specifications at this time. Vehicle battery has failed – replacement is required to correct.
    • Remove and replace vehicle battery

    • Confirmed customer's complaint and no fault codes were found in the climate control system. Performance tested A/C system – pressures were found too low. Recovered and measured system refrigerant to determine present system charge level. Recovered .20 lbs (R 134) – system requires 1.25 lbs. Evacuated and recharged system with correct amount and added UV sensitive leak tracer dye. System pressures and vent temperatures are within specifications and at this time, there is no obvious point of a refrigerant leak under the hood. The customer has been asked to report if or when the A/C efficiency diminishes so that a followup inspection can be performed

    • Customer requests change oil and oil filter. Check all accessible fluid levels and tire pressures. Perform basic safety inspection. Road test vehicle. Access on board computer to reset maintenance reminder system.
    • Confirmed customer's complaint. Access on board computer to check for codes. In the engine control module found fault codes P 0303 – 000 = Engine misfire cylinder # 3, P 130A – 000 = Cylinder disabling feature enabled, U 1017 – 000 = Request to check fault codes in ABS system, P 0492 – 000 = Secondary air injection system; engine bank 2 – Insufficient flow and P 0491 – 000 = Secondary air injection system; engine bank 1 – Insufficient flow. In the ABS system found code 01314 – 013 = Request to check for faults in the engine control unit. In the Central electrics unit found code 01496 – 010 = Bulb for fog lamp (left – L22) open or short circuit. Continued diagnosis confirmed that the ignition coil for cylinder # 3 had failed. Replacement of this coil is suggested to correct – NOTE: A pipe for the secondary air injection system was found disconnected. This was also corrected this visit and this is possibly the reason why the fault codes for the secondary air system were recorded
    • Disassemble as necessary to remove and replace all (6) ignition coils
    • Customer requests replacement of bulb for driver's side front fog lamp

    • Confirmed customer's complaint. The passenger side front brake caliper has seized and is applying constant pressure to the brake pads, the friction of which is causing the rotor (disc) to overheat and has warped. Replacement of the calipers, pads and discs is suggested to correct
    • Procedure includes bleeding of brake system

    • Customer requests change oil and oil filter. Check all accessible fluid levels and tire pressures. Perform basic safety inspection. Road test vehicle. Access on board computer to reset maintenance reminder system.
    • The initial inspection revealed that the sunroof drain tubes are flowing freely at this time, but the windshield has delaminated from the sealer on the passenger side along the top of the glass. Resealing or replacing of the windshield is suggested as the first repair attempt. Continued inspection revealed that both sections of the sound deadening material under the carpets are wet on the passenger side. Disassembly to spot dry the carpets is suggested as is replacing of the air inlet duct for the climate control system (these are also known to fail and allow water intrusion).
